R2P4 (+4.4 lbs LIW!!!)

Ahhhh!

Too much, too much, too much!  Too much nuts, too much cheese, too much wine, too much chocolate, too much carbs.  Just too much things my body shouldn't deal with at the same time equals too much pounds gained.

So, it is steak day for me today.  Should have done one yesterday but had a luncheon that I couldn't avoid.  So I am doing it today.  I am doing a modification though.  I had pilates today so worked my muscles.  I decided I would have an egg before and will do another 1 or 2 eggs throughout the day as I am really hungry.  I don't think it is a good idea to work your muscles and then not have protein until this evening.  I will let you know how it works for me.

Then, I am going to re-evaluate my intake of carbs.  I am thinking about doing P3-style eating most of the time (I mean 95% of the time) and having some carbs on the most special of occasions.  I just don't think my body deals with carbs well at all.  Lot of protein and veg for me, my friends.

  1. Totally can relate to that - my weight goes out of control with carbs too.... too bad since I lOVE bread!!!

  2. I'm only on P2 (the first time) and carbs are my weakness! I don't crave sweets, I crave Carbs! I plan on taking your approach and only including them on special days. If not, I will go overboard.

  3. I'm probably a bit late for the correction day, but you can do an egg day in place of a steak day. You get to eat all day.

    I'm sensitive to starchy carbs. I cycle my carb days. I have good healthy starches the days I do strength training or HIIT. It seems to work for me, just a thought.

  4. Autumn, please explain how an egg day works. I am very interested in that for a correction.

    Sounds like we all have carb issues (starches and sugars). I think I have issues with both. I do well with P3 and then BOOM, adding back in during P4 is bad. I might try them on strength training days (Pilates for me), but for now I am going to go back to mostly P3 eating, focusing on lean proteins. Thanks everyone!

  6. I like egg days when I am at home and have nothing going on that day. My mind is always in the kitchen when I am at home. I like steak days for when I'm busy and my mind can keep out of the kitchen.

    I really prefer just clean P3 eating but sometimes the extra weight needs to be gone yesterday just to make me feel better...
